What Flockr is
Flockr is a real-time demand intelligence platform for retail e-commerce. We read live demand across a retailer’s catalogue — what’s selling, what’s scarce, what’s accelerating — and turn it into messages on the storefront and signals for the rest of the stack.
We started as a social proof messaging tool. The platform underneath grew into something larger: a live demand layer that computes what’s true for every product, on every request, and renders it where shoppers decide. That’s the company we are now.
We hold ourselves to measurement. Every claim of impact is measured against a two-group holdout, and our commercial model carries a contractual 8× minimum return on licence fee. We’d rather be provable than impressive.

Gareth James
Founder & CEO
Gareth founded Flockr in 2022 and leads it as CEO. He’s spent his career between retail, financial services and media, in roles spanning early-stage startups to FTSE-listed companies — including leadership through IPOs totalling £9 billion in valuation. He still writes production code: at Flockr he sets the strategy and builds alongside the engineering team.
Glen Richardson
Advisor
Glen brings 25 years in digital retail, including a decade in C-suite roles at major UK retailers — COO at The Range, CTO at Fruugo, CMO at Ideal Shopping Direct. He’s now Managing Partner at Exceedly and a non-executive director across several consumer brands.
Steve Sweeney
Advisor
Steve spent 8+ years at MoneySuperMarket, latterly leading insurance and new ventures, and advises on digital distribution in financial services as a Bain external advisor. He also serves on the data trust committee for Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Jon Crossic
Advisor
Jon has 25 years in premium and luxury retail and is currently Managing Director of Thomas Sabo. Earlier roles include Retail Director of Case London, with brand experience across Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. He also advises brands and retailers through his consultancy, Cross Consult.
