Page CTR lift

The difference in click-through rate where Flockr is active and visible versus where it isn’t.

What is page CTR lift?

Page CTR lift is the percentage difference in click-through rate between pages where Flockr is active and visible and comparable pages where it was not shown. It measures Flockr’s effect on engagement at the page level, a step before the conversion picture.

How is page CTR lift measured?

Flockr identifies pages where a message was actually rendered and visible to the shopper, and compares their click-through rate with comparable pages that had no Flockr message shown. The difference, expressed as a percentage, is the page CTR lift. It depends on the message actually being seen, so it only registers where messages are being rendered live.

How is page CTR lift different from conversion rate lift?

Page CTR lift is about engagement — are shoppers clicking more on pages where Flockr is present? Conversion rate lift is about outcome — are those sessions converting more? CTR lift sits earlier in the funnel; a healthy CTR lift is part of the mechanism behind a conversion lift, but they answer different questions.

Does page CTR lift carry the same caveats as the other figures?

Yes. Like the conversion figures, it is observational rather than a randomised test, so it should be read as directional and useful for tracking change rather than as a precise causal measurement. The pages being compared are not randomly assigned, so some of the difference can reflect where Flockr tends to be active.
